Data Collection
The Task Analysis Style data collection method is designed for goals that require tracking progress step by step. Here’s how users interact with this method:
Entering the Task Analysis Session
Click “Track Data”: Begin by selecting the Track Data option from the Student Goal Dashboard or Calendar.
Data Collection Interface: Once inside, you’ll see the tools available for tracking data.
Task Analysis Goal Interface:
The interface includes all the standard features found in Accuracy Style sessions but uses a step-by-step process defined during the goal import process.
Features of the Task Analysis Data Collection Interface
1. Step-by-Step Tracking
The task analysis data sheet is displayed with each predefined step outlined.

For each step, you can:
Select Correct or Incorrect.
Choose the Prompting Method used for the step.
Skip Steps that are not relevant for the current session.
2. Instructions Tab
View session-specific instructions sourced from the scheduling feature within the Student Goal Dashboard.
These ensure the team is aligned on strategies and expectations for the session.
3. Event Date
Record the session for the current day or enter a retroactive date if needed.
4. Session Notes
Add detailed notes to document observations, challenges, or successes during the session.
5. Timer
Use the timer feature, which is especially helpful for tracking time spent on task analysis sessions.
6. Photo Feature
Take and attach photos of student work or assets to provide visual documentation.
Creating and Linking Task Analysis Data Sheets
Predefined Steps:
Steps are outlined in the task analysis data sheet, which is either:
Linked during the goal import process, or
Created directly within the goal import interface or the Data Sheet Library.
Flexibility:
New data sheets can always be created or linked as needed for different goals.
Completing the Session
1. Review the Summary
After completing the session, click Next to review the Goal Session Summary.
Verify all data, notes, and observations.
2. Save the Data
Once satisfied, press Save to log the session into the student’s Goal Report.
