Preparation
Selecting the appropriate data type is a critical step in the goal preparation process. This choice determines how you will track progress on a student’s annual goal or benchmark by attaching a digital data sheet directly to the goal.
Types of Data Sheets
There are two data types to choose from, depending on the nature of the goal:
1. Accuracy Data Type
- Measures the correctness of a student’s response or performance on a given task.
- Best for goals requiring percentage-based tracking or correct/incorrect assessments.

2. Task Analysis Data Type
- Involves a systematic breakdown of complex skills or tasks into smaller, manageable steps.
- Ideal for goals that require tracking progress across multiple steps or components.

How to Select and Link a Data Type
1. Select your data type
Choose either Accuracy or Task Analysis based on the goal’s requirements.
2. Task Analysis: More Involved Setup
- When selecting Task Analysis, you’ll need to create or link a detailed breakdown of tasks:
- Click “Change Data Sheet” to proceed.
Use one of the following options:
- Link a Data Sheet: Locate an existing data sheet in the Data Sheet Library and press “Link”.
- Create New Data Sheet: Build a new task analysis directly within the interface.

💡Task analysis data sheets can also be created within the Data Sheet library - on left side tab
Using Data Sheets in Data Collection Sessions
Once the data type is selected:
- The linked data sheet will appear whenever you enter a data collection session for that specific goal.
- This allows users to collect, track, and review data efficiently and accurately.
