Preparation
Creating and/or import student goals in Mela Mela is an important part of of the preparation process. Here’s how to add a new goal:
Step 1: Press “Add New Goal”
Navigate to the student’s profile and click “Add New Goal”.
Step 2: Enter Goal Details
On the new screen, fill in the following fields:
Goal Title: Provide a clear, concise name for the goal.
Baseline Skills: Describe the student’s current level of skills.
Step 3: Set Goal Parameters
Annual and Benchmark Goals (where needed): Set measurable objectives for the student to achieve over time.
Within the goal interface, you’ll need to:
Set the Goal Target Date: Specify when the goal should be completed.
Set the Target Accuracy: Determine the accuracy level required to achieve the goal.
Place or Enter the Goal in the Goal Box: Enter the finalized goal in the designated text box.
Use Goal Templates (Optional)
You can choose to use a goal template for faster setup.
There’s also an option to copy the text of the goal or copy the entire goal for use in another location.
Step 4: Select the Data Type
Choose the type of data collection that will be used to track progress toward this goal (two options):
🎯Accuracy Style:
Ideal for goals requiring percentage-based accuracy tracking.

OR
✅ Task Analysis Style:
Best for breaking down a goal into smaller, measurable steps.

Step 5: Choose Goal Category and State Standard
Assign the appropriate goal category for easier organization.
Select a state standard that aligns with the goal.

Step 6: Assign Team Members
Finally, assign specific team members responsible for tracking and managing this goal.
